The Himos holiday resort originated in 1984, when Juhani Ojala and Päivi Kuokkanen founded and constructed the slopes of Himos Ski Resort. During the past decades, Himos has gained great popularity among skiers and winter tourists thanks to its wide-ranging, high-quality services. The family business has been developed professionally with the customers’ wishes in mind.

Today, Himos ranks fifth among the Finnish ski centers measured by lift turnover, and according to market research reports, it ranks third in the “best-known” category and fourth in in the “most attractive” category in Finland.

At Himos, we encourage safe and courteous skiing. Our abbreviated rules of conduct for the slopes are available in Finnish, Swedish, English and Russian. Get yours from a ski pass sales desk or from the equipment rental office. More information is available at www.ski.fi.
