HIMOS – total ski fun and slopes for everybody!

Established in 1984, Himos has become one of the most popular ski resorts in Finland. From the beginning, Himos has been a family business. Its founders, Päivi Kuokkanen and Juhani Ojala, have been working systematically and with utter devotion to make Himos what it is today – a ski center with the biggest and most comprehensive slopes in Southern and Central Finland. In net sales Himos ranks 5th among the Finnish ski centers.

During its 27 years of operation, Himos has expanded heavily and has now stabilized its position as a comprehensive and professional ski center, yet preserving its family business values. Everybody counts (especially the smallest ones), service comes first, and customers' wishes are truly acknowledged.

See you soon!

While skiing you are welcome to enjoy other offerings in the Himos region, too! In addition to us there are, among others, HimosHoliday and HimosWorld as well as numerous other accommodation and program service companies who want you to enjoy your stay. Also, shopping opportunities and services in Jämsä are only eight kilometers away. New activities in Himos include, for example, HimosResort's 18-hole pay and play golf course where the opening stroke will be hit in the summer of 2013.

Wishing you gliding rides,

Juhani Ojala, Päivi Kuokkanen, Joona
and the rest of Himos staff
